SMASH Christmas Dinner
Team has a Christmas dinner to celebrate a great year of tennis at the
Mexicali Grill in Santa Clara.

TIES in Sac Team members attended the TIES event in
Sacramento last month (9/18-9/19). It combines a wheelchair doubles
tourney one day and an Up/Down doubles tourney the next day. Up/Down
play is doubles teams consisting of one standing player and one
wheelchair player.

Golden State Challenge Recap Thank you to those who
came out to watch and play at this years tournament in Santa Clara.

Golden State Challenge The team is ready for the
tournament this weekend. Come out and watch the excitement of the
only Bay Area wheelchair tennis tournament. Matches are played at
the tennis courts at Santa Clara University.

Fundraiser at Courtside Tennis Club The team thanks
the people of Courtside Club for their continued support of the
team. Last months annual silent auction benefiting the team, was
once again a successful event.

TIES Up/Down Tournament On June 12 the team faced
off against players from Sacramento at the annual up/down tournament
at the Pacific Athletic Club in Redwood City.

SoCal Championships Members represented
the team at the tournament in Upland on June 5-6.

clinic will be held in San Jose on May 22 at Pioneer High School.
Featuring ITF Coach of the Year Jason Harnett and former doubles

in Manteca on April 17, with a one day tournament.

SAP Open Last week, the Smash team sent players to
demonstrate wheelchair tennis during the SAP Open at the HP Pavilion
in San Jose.
ACES Awards On January 30th, Smash team member,
Lisa Rasche, was named Most Improved Player of the Year at the
Northern California USTA awards banquet in San Francisco.
Team on Break Smash team on break for the winter.
Although you might find a player or two on a court somewhere.
